As the Digital Marketing Lead, you will be at the forefront of driving donation growth, amplifying advocacy efforts and brand awareness by crafting and executing digital strategies across multiple channels. With a focus on the donor journey and increased engagement, you will work within a supportive, values-driven environment.

Role Purpose:

As Digital Marketing Lead, you will take ownership of designing impactful digital strategies that align with fundraising growth goals and advocacy amplification. You will be responsible for delivering and enhancing integrated campaigns across all major digital channels.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive digital marketing strategies in partnership with the Head of Marketing and Engagement to drive donations, enhance donor journeys, and promote advocacy and brand objectives.

  • Lead the planning, execution, and optimisation of integrated digital campaigns across web, social media, SEO, SEM, email marketing (EDM), display advertising, and other platforms.

  • Utilise advanced analytics tools to segment audiences, automate donor journeys, monitor campaign performance and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.

  • Design and deliver multivariate (A/B) testing plans to optimise campaign effectiveness and measure return on investment (ROI) as well as key performance indicators (KPIs).

  • Collaborate closely with internal teams to translate appeal initiatives and donor sales funnel journeys into actionable CRM workflows that support targeted communications via email, digital marketing, SMS, direct mail and other offline elements.

  • Create compelling digital content including video production and copywriting for digital advertising, web and social media channels while ensuring brand consistency and high-quality standards.

  • Oversee website user experience (UX) enhancements by reviewing site performance data, recommending improvements for conversion optimisation, SEO/SEM strategies, remarketing opportunities, and partnership integrations.

  • Prepare regular reports on digital marketing performance for internal stakeholders using dashboards that track donor journey and sales funnel metrics, campaign outcomes, database health, and overall engagement.

What you bring:

  • Proven experience in digital marketing with demonstrable expertise in planning multi-channel campaigns using data-driven approaches.

  • Technical capability with Meta Business Suite & Ads Manager and Google Data Studio, Google Tag Manager, GA4 analytics tools, Google AdWords.

  • Hands-on experience managing paid/organic search (SEO/SEM), display advertising, social media platforms (including programmatic), database segmentation techniques, automated donor/ customer sales funnel journeys (email digital and offline channels) using CRM systems (Vega experience is a bonus) and other marketing technology.

  • Previous experience in fundraising environments is highly valued but not essential.

  • Detail-oriented self-starter; able to accept responsibility within small teams while building positive inter-personal relationships across diverse groups.

  • Commitment to social justice values that are aligned with Caritas' mission. You'll be comfortable working within church structures and multi-cultural environments. An understanding of Treaty of Waitangi principles is important.
