School Feedback
Words from our schools
“Our students loved the session! They came away energised and full of ideas about what they wanted to do this year. After the session they immediately came to me with ideas for how they wanted to action the Caritas initiates this year and told me how much they loved the session.”
Carmel College, Takapuna – Madeline Murphy, Assistant Head of Department, Religious Education
“The session was really fun and inspiring... It helped us think about how much our small actions value to help create a more fair and peaceful world. Listening to ideas and experiences of other students showed us that young people can work together to build a caring and just world.
We shouldn't wait for others to act, but instead try to 'Be the Change' we want to see"
Campion College, Gore - Student as shared by Chris Goodwin, Director of Religious Studies
“Thank you for this gathering. Difficulty with video did not detract at all. The learners enjoyed being part of this combined experience and hearing from other schools. It would be great to have more of this. They have already organised a pyjama day after meeting with the Principal, for next term. With all monies raised to go to caritas. They are also busy planning learning for Kaitiaki2share.”
St Francis, Thames – Sue Wilson, Assistant Principal
“This session truly helped the children to understand and be aware of issues faced by small islands in regard to rising sea levels.
It was a lovely session to connect with other schools. Thank you again for hosting this session.
We have been using the CARITAS website during Lent (especially the senior school) to look at issues around the world and raising awareness.”
Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Epsom, Susan D’Silva, Director Religious Studies
