Caritas Annual Reports

2024 was a year marked by conflict, economic hardship, and climate instability. We continued to support communities across Aotearoa, the Pacific, and beyond, reaching more than 154,000 people with long-term development efforts, focusing on health, nutrition, water and sanitation, climate change adaptation, vocational training, livelihoods and other support.

We also responded to emergencies in Gaza, Myanmar, Sudan, Ukraine and more - helping over 472,000 people in crisis.

At COP29, we worked with Caritas Oceania to spotlight climate-related debt and injustice in the Pacific, and here in Aotearoa, we advocated against legislation threatening the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, pushed for stronger anti-trafficking laws, and supported school and parish engagement through education and action.

Despite global uncertainty, our commitment to the poor remains clear. Read the 2024 annual report to see how we supported people on the margins and ensured that their voices were heard.
