State of the Environment for Oceania 2021

Caritas' State of the Environment for Oceania 2021: Towards our Future Home was launched through a global online webinar on Monday 4 October, the Feast of St Francis of Assisi.

The Caritas State of the Environment for Oceania has monitored critical issues affecting the life and wellbeing of Oceania and its peoples since 2014. Through the eyes and ears of Caritas staff and partners across the Pacific, we monitor: rising seas and coastal erosion, extreme weather, access to safe local food and water, offshore mining and drilling, and climate finance. Our 2021 assessment was supported by an online talanoa in September, and stories and perspectives from Caritas staff, partners and associates throughout the region.
