Tutu ana te puehu - Stirring up the dust

The kowhaiwhai underscoring our website portrays the whakataukī (proverb) tutu ana te peuhu, which refers to the orator on the marae stirring up the dust. The dominant line represents the strong orator prevailing through all other argument. The kowhaiwhai was designed by Martin Winiata of Horowhenua, whose family has given Caritas permission to use it.
