Social Justice Week 2010: Diversity
Diversity enriches our communities and should be seen
as a source of blessing and peace.
- Social Justice Week statement 2010, New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference.

Social Justice Week 2010 on September 12-18 focuses on the theme of creating inclusive and connected communities. Schools received their resource package in early August.
The schools package reinforces the theme of acknowledging cultural diversity by inviting teachers and students to reflect and build on attitudes and Gospel values of tolerance, respect, empathy and humility. Activities have been designed around the Catholic social principles of human dignity and the common good.
Resources in the schools package include:
No Longer Strangers
CD ROM for Years 1-13.
Your people will be my people, No 15 in the Caritas Social Justice Series, 2010.
Creating inclusive and connected communities, New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference formation booklet for parishes, 2010.
Social Justice Week 2010 poster for schools.
You can order more resources using the Order Form in the schools pack or you can download one here.
