Haiti earthquake

Caritas is expecting to be involved for five years in helping build a new Haiti after the devastating earthquake of 12 January 2010. The earthquake claimed more than 230,000 lives and affected 3 million people in one of the biggest disasters of recent times.

Sudan

Caritas is working in Sudan on a long-term relief programme supporting more than half a million people in South and West Darfur.

Thailand Burma Border Consortium (TBBC)

The Thailand Burma Border Consortium (TBBC) was established in 1984 to work with Burmese refugees just inside the Thai border. We began working with TBBC in 2001.
