The PointSeven Campaign

Caritas is part of the Council for International Development’s Point 7 campaign. This seeks for New Zealand to raise its overseas aid levels to 0.7 percent of Gross National Income by 2015. Sadly, since reaching 0.3 percent in 2008, we have declined to 0.28 in 2009, and 0.26 in 2010, according to OECD figures. New Zealand's commitment is falling well behind other countries such as Australia.
