By joining with others to voice our concerns we can make more of an impact on decision makers.
Campaigns are specific projects run by a group of people to raise awareness about an issue and often try to influence decision making at a government level. They may involve petitions, protests, prayer vigils and letter-writing.
Caritas' current campaigns include:
Aid - Ask the New Zealand government to get overseas aid levels up to 0.7 percent of our Gross National Income, to fulfil a commitment first made in the 1970s.
Refugees and Migrants - Read our Action Alert on the Immigration Amendment Bill 2012, which would allow the detention of asylum seekers who arrive in groups.
