Over 2,500 cubic metres of chlorinated water is supplied to communities in camps in Zalingei, Garsila and Bilel in Dafur.

Our theme for Lent 2012 is Called by faith to act with generous hearts, inspired by Pope Benedict XVI words to the Caritas Internationalis General Assembly 2011. Lent ends at Easter on 8 April.

Our Lenten theme is being promoted in schools as Hearts filled with hope – recognising that good people everywhere have hopeful hearts. Our schools resource was sent to all Catholic schools in early December and is also downloadable online here.

Our Lenten Visitor is Claudette Habesch from Caritas Jerusalem, which meets the practical and social needs of people living in the occupied Palestinian territories, and works for a just peace in the region. Read more about Claudette's visit to Aotearoa New Zealand here.

Parish Lenten resources are available here.
