Caritas supports teachers by providing resources and information, and being available to visit schools.
Our education team provides resources and presentations for schools, visit schools, introduce international speakers, conduct leadership training days, and encourage action for a fair and just world.
Our latest schools resource for Social Justice Week 2012 Fruit of the Earth and Work of Human Hands is available here.
We are currently running an Emergency Appeal for the Sahel region in West Africa, where 19 million people face severe food shortages after a failed harvest. Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand is working through the Caritas network to provide emergency aid and help communities for the future.
More information, including a short appeal video and powerpoints for schools to use are available from our Sahel Food Crisis emergency page.

Caritas has available A Guide to Caritas for Schools, a handy 52-page, A5-size booklet all about us. It contains information, contacts and inspiration to help your work in schools. Copies are available for free. Contact us.
