Lent 2011 focused on our common humanity.
We are united by our common humanity
E paiheretia ana tatou i to tatou ira tangata.
- New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference, Consistent Ethic of Life, 1997

The Lent 2011 resource Towards Change contained resources for both primary and secondary schools. The pack included a DVD of the film Without Rain aimed at intermediate and secondary students, while photo stories on a CD formed the basis of resources for primary school students.
Resources were sent to Directors of Religious Studies (DRSs) in Catholic schools. Additional copies remain available - order online, or phone us on 0800 22 10 22.
Resources for primary schools this Lent focused on roles and responsibilities, particularly how they link with stewardship or kaitiakitanga. They are intended to encourage thinking about social justice.

Resources sent for intermediate and secondary classes focused on our personal and collective responses to the effects of climate change on poor and vulnerable people. They are intended to encourage thinking about social justice.
See how a how a rural community in Syangja, Nepal, is working together to confront the challenge of climate change.
