Emergencies

Our partners and sister agencies are on the ground to provide immediate relief when disaster strikes, and ongoing rebuilding long after the headlines have faded away.

We usually run two special emergency appeals during the year for particularly significant emergencies. In most cases, we can usually accept donations towards other emergencies that our partners or Caritas members are responding to.

Current Emergencies

We are currently running a full scale appeal for the Sahel region of West Africa, where 19 million people face hunger and severe food shortages after a failed harvest. Watch our video and find out more here.

We are also currently accepting donations for the Horn of Africa, Canterbury earthquake recovery and the Syria crisis. We appreciate the efforts schools and students make to support people in extreme need.
