In Burma, Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand is supporting the Caritas Internationalis emergency programme which is providing support to at least sixty thousand people. Caritas is working with displaced people throughout the world, from Darfur to Sri Lanka. Locally, a new leaflet, Refugee Myths and Realities has been launched to counter misconceptions about refugees. Caritas is celebrating a number of advocacy successes, including the international ban on cluster munitions and the legalisation of communion wine in prisons.
