What will you leave behind?

When making a Will, we must consider our family and friends. However, it is also a unique opportunity to provide for the causes closest to our hearts and to leave a lasting contribution.

By including Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand in your Will, you can leave a legacy of hope. We are very grateful to receive legacies left to us from individuals who have taken this extraordinary step to support Caritas's work with disadvantaged communities around the world and in New Zealand.

How to leave a legacy to Caritas

A legacy or bequest can be a monetary gift, a percentage of your estate or left over items from an estate. Your solicitor or Trust company can draft or amend your Will for you, and ensure that it is clearly worded and validly signed.

When you have decided to make a provision in your Will for Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand, you can either include Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand in a new Will, or add a codicil in favour of Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand to an existing Will and send it to your lawyer.

For further information on leaving a gift to Caritas Aotearoa New Zealand in your Will, please contact us on 0800 22 10 22 or email caritas@caritas.org.nz
